This amazing specimen of Pink Amethyst is cut into a large slice that has smooth polished sides and a natural rocky edge.  It is a beautiful mauve pink color with gray hues, specks of white quartz, and features exposed cavities that are full of tiny druzy crystals.  

Pink Amethyst is considered extremely rare and has only been recently discovered in Argentina and Brazil.  While it can be found in shades of pink that resemble that of Rose Quartz, it can be distinguished by its singular crystal formations and gets its color from inclusions of Hematite found within the quartz.

Pyrite is a metallic mineral that is made of iron sulfide and forms as the result of a biological reaction between bacteria and water.  It is also known as Fool's Gold because its color and shine can be similar to that of real gold but its cubic crystalline structure makes it easy to identify otherwise.

While Satin Spar Selenite is a common name for this specimen, it is actually a variety of the mineral Gypsum, which forms as a result of water evaporation and a secondary crystallization process that produces a satin spar crystalline structure.  Selenite too, is another variety of Gypsum but all their names have become synonymous over time, despite their differences.

These specific specimens also contain trace amounts of manganese, resulting their faint pink hue.

This interesting specimen of Dogtooth spar features an abundance of large crystal points that are dark brown, gray, and translucent white in color and fan out from a natural dark gray-brown crystalline calcite base.

Dogtooth Spar or Dogtooth Calcite forms in caves as a result of the separation of calcite from water and has a crystalline structure that is made of twelve irregular triangular sides, known as a scalenohedron. It is this formation that gives these crystals their unique spiky dog tooth-like appearance.

Like other types of calcite, this crystal magnifies positive and purifying energies that push out negative energy, clearing the way for a stronger spiritual connection that improves mental clarity, awareness, and other functions of the mind.
