Bright-cut flowers and a zigzag border frame them on a brushed gold face. Tri-color leaf work is the signature of Black Hills gold jewelry, and this style was widely loved in the 1970s–1980s. The back is polished smooth, and two round frames inside hold small photos or keepsakes.

Materials:
14K gold-filled metal

Details:

Era: 1970s–1980s

Markings: Stamped 14K GF on the bail

Style/design notes: Round locket with applied tri-color grape leaves and a tendril, bright-cut floral side motifs, a zigzag border, and a Florentine brushed front with a polished back

Stone or material notes: Applied green and rose gold-tone leaves

Function: Hinged locket with two interior frames; fixed bail

Color: Yellow, green, and rose gold

Condition: Good vintage condition, with light scratches on the back and tarnish inside

Measurement: 0.6" diameter

Collected by Mineral and Matter
