Cathedral quartz, also known as Light Library/ Cathedral Lightbrary, is a variety of milk white and colorless quartz. It is named for mirroring the shape of the turrets fortifying ancient castles, walls, and cathedrals. Although they may look as though they are made of multiple different crystals, they are all formations of one main crystal.

Dogtooth Spar or Dogtooth Calcite forms in caves as a result of the separation of calcite from water and has a crystalline structure that is made of twelve irregular triangular sides, known as a scalenohedron.
