Each link is shaped like a ridged, open shell — curved and ribbed with a sculptural quality that catches light from every angle. Set in a continuous graduated collar, the shells overlap slightly, creating a fluid, wave-like rhythm around the neck. This Rumours pendant watch borrows the language of the Victorian pocket watch — a round marcasite-set case suspended from a delicate cable chain, the dial printed with Roman numerals and a sunburst center. The bezel is ringed with faceted dark marcasite-style stones set into an engraved silver-tone surround, giving the piece an antique sensibility that sits comfortably against modern dress. At 30 inches the chain hangs long, lending it the ease of a layering piece. A small, considered object that tells time quietly.
