These beautiful specimens of Optical Calcite are extremely pale pink in color and have a raw semi-opaque appearance.  They are roughly cut into rectangular prism shapes that can be displayed on multiple sides and reflect a bright pearly luster in the light.

Optical Calcite, also known as Iceland Spar, becomes transparent when polished and causes objects to appear doubled when viewed through it.  It is commonly used in the manufacturing industry, making it hard to find as a geological specimen. These specific specimens also contain trace amounts of manganese, resulting their faint pink hue.
