Each oval link is individually engraved with scrolling foliate detail — the kind of hand-finished surface work that points to late 19th or early 20th century manufacture, when even utilitarian chains were treated as objects worth embellishing. The oxidized silver tone patina deepens the engraving beautifully, giving the chain presence and age. Wears long as a single strand or doubled for a layered effect. Spring ring closure.
