Elgin was one of America's great watchmaking houses, producing fine timepieces from 1864 until the quartz era ended mechanical watch dominance. This example carries all the hallmarks of 1940s dress watch design — an ornate cushion case with scroll detailing, open filigree bracelet panels, and deep red rhinestone clusters at each lug that glow like garnets. The heavily patinated dial and aged crystal speak to genuine age and wear.
