The Queensbury was part of a full 1974 Avon collection — ring, earrings, bracelet — and carries the Victorian sensibility of the whole set. An oval faceted faux amethyst sits at center in a rope-style bezel, flanked by a cream faux pearl above and below, with raised gold-tone ball detailing encircling the stone. The scrolled shoulders and antiqued gold tone give it the weight and presence of antique jewelry at a fraction of the scale. One of the more collectible pieces from Avon's early 1970s revival era, and part of a documented named set.
