Description
A deep red emerald-cut stone glows at the center of this Sarah Coventry pendant like a distant red star. The octagonal frame comes from the 1970s and is layered with twisted rope work and radiating ridges, and its antiqued finish gives the gold tone depth and shadow. The stone is set in four prongs and sits openly in the frame, so light reaches it from behind. On the long chain it falls low and easy, layering well with shorter pieces or worn alone over a simple neckline.
