These bright gold tone specimens of Pyrite have been cut and polished into a rounded cathedral shape with a flat bottom that keeps them upright, perfectly displaying varied concentrations of openings and cavities that are full of incredibly detailed cube shaped crystals and tiny druzy crystals that brilliantly glitter in the light.
Pyrite is a metallic mineral that is made of iron sulfide and forms as the result of a biological reaction between bacteria and water. It is also known as Fool's Gold because its color and shine can be similar to that of real gold but its cubic crystalline structure makes it easy to identify otherwise.
