An elaborate bar pin with delicate wirework scrollwork and looped fringe at each end, suspending a rectangular black onyx (or glass) panel framed in twisted rope wire and cornered with coiled gold-tone spirals. The dangle swings freely from a small jump ring beneath the bar, giving the piece movement when worn. Done in the ornate wirework style associated with Victorian jewelry, though the construction points to a later revival piece rather than a period original.
