Vintage Shell Cameo Brooch Pendant — Gold Tone Filigree Wire Frame Cameo — Antique Style Carved Shell Cameo

A finely carved shell cameo — a classical female profile with upswept hair and draped shoulder — set within a handworked gold tone wire filigree frame of looped and scrolled construction. The frame has the character of hand-formed wire work rather than cast manufacture, giving each piece an organic, slightly irregular quality consistent with earlier production. A pendant bail at the top allows it to be worn on a chain as well as pinned. Unsigned and quietly beautiful.
