A small cushion-shaped dial, framed by a scalloped gold case with faceted, leaf-like lugs, glows softly like a moon in its last quarter. The case back carries Bulova’s L6 date code, which places it in 1956. Bulova’s ladies’ dress watches from that era paired fine American timekeeping with jewelry-like cases, and they were made to be worn every day and kept for a lifetime. It still runs on its original wind-up movement. The textured expansion band slips on easily and sits delicately on the wrist.
