A small pendant shaped like a Spanish castanet, worked in the Toledo damascene tradition. Gold-tone scrolls are inlaid against a blackened ground, divided by a beaded silver-tone band. The shallow, hollow back keeps it light, and at half an inch it sits quietly at the collarbone. It hangs from a fine gold-tone curb chain, easy to layer or wear alone.
