A tailored, tank-shaped locket etched with a trailing floral motif and finished with a fine geometric border, hinged open to still hold its original faded photograph. The reverse carries a hand-engraved inscription, "Bayard To Charmion," a small preserved fragment of someone's story. Warm gold-filled tone throughout, with the soft patina only a century of wear can give.
