Description
Six curved panels carry alternating geometric and arabesque patterns in gold against a blackened ground, like constellations drawn on a night sky. A 1960s–1970s piece in the damascene tradition of Toledo, Spain, a craft descended from Moorish metalwork in which fine gold designs are laid into darkened steel. The panels are joined by fluted double links, and the reverse of each is finished in an engine-turned diamond pattern. It closes with a box clasp and safety chain for secure everyday wear.
